Absolute Ethanol
Ethanol in its pure form (absolute alcohol) is a anhydrous ethanol. In fact, the highest concentration of ethanol, obtained by distillation from an ethanol – water mixture, is 95.57 wt %. To obtain anhydrous ethanol, the pure ethaonol – water azeotrope must be dehydrated. Ethanol azeotropes are dehydrated physically to obtain absolute ethanol. This product is applied in pharmaceutical, ink as solvent, fuel and fuel additive and other application which is sensitive to water content.
Hakim Absolute Ethanol (99.8% purity) is suitable in pharmaceutical industry, as a solvent for laboratory and industrial applications, where water will react with other chemicals, and as fuel alcohol.
